Weekend Activities -- almost there!!!!

Well unfortunately it seems there was no consensus on a tee time, so there will be no golf tourney on Friday or Saturday.

BUT.....we will hopefully see all who are able at Friday's football game. RHS vs. Rio Linda -- we'll have a section reserved on the RHS side. Look for Kathi Rose's cool sign.

After the game, we'll all meet at BJ's Brewery on the corner of Roseville Pkwy and Harding Blvd. Remember how we used to drink beer in the fields behind the high school? -- well, we still can!! Sort of.

Then of course, Saturday's big event. Remember, as big as this event is, the dress code is C-A-S-U-A-L -- That's because all of the planners will be too friggin tired to do anything but put on a hawaiian shirt and we don't want to be out-beautified.

Thanks for replying guys!! Regarding your questions:

1. We chose September 10 so we could do a meet and greet at the football game friday night. My vote is to meet after at McDonalds like old days. I'm sure I'll get vetoed though. West End bar is probably more desirable these days. We're also exploring the possibility of a small RHS golf tournament at Sunset Whitney on Saturday afternoon -- THOSE INTERESTED LET US KNOW!!!

2. I will gather info on hotels near to Sunset Whitney. We have another committee meeting set up for August 5, and are planning to address a number of issues at that time, including these two, so check back for more info!!!

Invitations Are In The Mail!

Thank you Ron Gewerth for taking some mighty fine photographs back in the day when the technology was certainly NOT digital. We were able to scan in some entertaining images to include in the invite -- hope you got yours! Send in your RSVP ASAP and also reply here and let us all know what you've been up to in the last few years! Personally, I find myself making "old person" sounds and that concerns me!

Last Night's Prep Meeting

Richard, Marge, Kathi and I met last night at Sunset Whitney (Billy had other plans and couldn't make it -- his loss) to go over our action item list, scout out the site and enjoy a few beers. We are well on our way and actually getting things done! The Poolside location is quite lovely and Richard has certainly made an impression on the staff at Sunset Whitney (what KIND of impression I'll leave you to guess!) The good news is that we will have access to an indoor location if the weather turns cold or rainy. Looking forward to the event. Lucy
